I chose this salon after seeing it recommended on the Transcona Facebook page because I was looking for a new nail place. I hadn’t had my nails done in months and was really looking forward to it after losing my regular nail tech, so this experience was very disappointing. All I wanted was a gel overlay on my natural nails with polish on top, which is something I’ve had done for years. Instead of a neat application with a fine brush, the gel was slopped on thickly, honestly like peanut butter on a celery stick. The whole process felt rushed and careless. The finish reflects that. I have bubbles in the polish, product pooled onto my cuticle that wasn’t cleaned up, and a couple nails that are crooked and uneven. My biggest concern, however, was sanitation. The emery board and buffer used on me appeared to have been used previously and seemed to be communal tools. In my experience, those items are normally new and given to the client afterward. Unfortunately, this was not the professional or relaxing experience I was expecting, and based on the quality and sanitation concerns, I would not recommend it.
